The Ilan-Lael Foundation (ILF) is excited to bring back its Spring Tours, offering a unique opportunity to explore the imaginative world of the late artist and architect, James Hubbell. From May 2 to June 14, the Foundation will open its doors every Monday, Friday, and Saturday for visitors to experience the harmonious blend of art and nature nestled in the picturesque hills of Santa Ysabel, California. Tours will be held at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on each tour day.

This spring, the Ilan-Lael Foundation will debut Saturday Socials—a new special twist on the tours! These lively events provide a chance for friends and supporters of ILF to mingle with guests, share insights, and enjoy a selection of food and beverages. Saturday Socials will take place in scenic locations around the property, including the Art Center, Boy’s House patio, Poolside, and Pollinator Garden. After the 90-minute docent-led tour, visitors can enjoy a more relaxed, personal experience on the grounds, deepening their connection to the beauty of Ilan-Lael.

Visitors will experience the wonder of James Hubbell’s living and working spaces, which were crafted with deep respect for nature. These incredible structures, born from Hubbell’s unique artistic vision, continue to stand as a tribute to his creative legacy. Though Hubbell passed away last year, the Foundation is proud to carry on his vision and celebrate his enduring impact.

As you explore the gardens, sculptures, and architectural wonders of Ilan-Lael, you’ll gain insight into Hubbell’s artistic process and the Foundation’s ongoing work in promoting art, nature, and community engagement through its various programs and initiatives.
