On Wednesday, March 19, just after 11:30 a.m., deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station conducted a parole compliance check on James Butler (DOB 01/12/1980) at a hotel room he was living in located in the 600 block of Sycamore Avenue. Butler was in violation of the terms of his parole. State Parole was notified.
During the compliance check, deputies found Butler was in possession of nearly 50 grams of methamphetamine.

They also found what appeared to be the makings of a Butane Honey Oil lab (BHO) inside the hotel room. The Sheriff’s Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) and County Hazmat responded and took over the scene.
Butler was arrested for selling a controlled substance and violating parole.
Butler’s wife, Kelly Butler (09/26/70), was also arrested. Both James and Kelly Butler are facing child endangerment charges after deputies learned their child was also living in the hotel room.
San Diego County’s Child and Family Well-Being (CFWB) Department was contacted. After a preliminary investigation, CFWB placed the child with other family members.

El Miércoles 19 de Marzo, poco después de las 11:30 a.m., oficiales del Vista Sheriff’s Station realizaron una verificación de cumplimiento de la libertad condicional de James Butler (fecha de nacimiento: 01/12/1980) en la habitación de hotel donde se alojaba, ubicada en la cuadra 600 de la avenida Sycamore. Butler incumplió los términos de su libertad condicional. Se notificó a la Oficina Estatal de Libertad Condicional.
Durante la verificación de cumplimiento, los oficiales encontraron que Butler estaba en posesión de casi 50 gramos de metanfetamina.
También encontraron lo que parecía ser un laboratorio de aceite de miel de butano (BHO) dentro de la habitación. El Equipo de Control de Marihuana (MET) del Alguacil y el Departamento de Materiales Peligrosos del Condado acudieron y se hicieron cargo del lugar.
Butler fue arrestado por vender una sustancia controlada y violar la libertad condicional.
La esposa de Butler, Kelly Butler (09/26/70), también fue arrestada. Tanto James como Kelly Butler enfrentan cargos por poner en peligro a un menor después de que los oficiales descubrieran que su menor también vivía en la habitación del hotel.
Se contactó al Departamento de Bienestar Infantil y Familiar (CFWB) del Condado de San Diego. Tras una investigación preliminar, CFWB ubicó al menor con otros familiares.
